Getting married on the beach in Zandvoort

What you can do in one place

The beauty of a beach pavilion is that nobody has to get in a car in between. At NIUS, the different parts of the day are just a few steps apart:

• the ceremony on the Noordstrand, a separate stretch of beach, under the wooden pergola by the beach bar;
• the toast and drinks on the terrace;
• dinner, indoors or outside, at long tables;
• the party night in NIUS Zuid.

For how many people

Seated, you can have up to 60 guests in NIUS Zuid, by the open fire. A party night in NIUS Zuid can take up to 130 guests. If you want something bigger, a party outside can take up to 700 guests, with a stretch tent if you like. NIUS Noord can only be hired together with the whole pavilion.

Saying ‘I do’

For a legally valid marriage you need a registrar from the local council. If you want the official moment to take place on the beach as well, ask Zandvoort council about getting married at a location of your choice. Many couples arrange the official part separately and hold the ceremony they want on the beach.

When the sun sets

For the photos and the moment of the toast, it helps to know when the sun sets into the sea. In June that’s around ten in the evening, in September around eight. On the Weddings by the sea page, enter your date to see the exact time.

How the planning works

You send an enquiry, then you come to meet us and see the venue. Together with NIUS, you draw up the schedule for the day. No later than six weeks before the wedding, you go through all the details with NIUS one final time.
