In short. To organise a team day on the beach at NIUS Beach House in Zandvoort, combine a morning meeting with lunch and an activity on the beach. The meeting room holds up to 60 people; the activities are run by regular partners.
A day that works
A team day has two aims that can get in each other’s way: there are things to discuss, and people need to get to know each other better. On the beach you solve that by splitting the day in two.
Morning: content. In the round meeting room, with a sea view. Up to 60 people theatre style, up to 20 in a U-shape or boardroom layout.
Lunch: fresh air. On the private terrace next to the meeting room, or indoors if it’s windy.
Afternoon: the beach. An activity for the whole team, run by JouwTeambuilders.nl or Pepsports.
The finish. Drinks, and anyone who wants to can stay for dinner.

What to bear in mind
- Pick the date to suit your goals, not the weather. A team day in November or February works perfectly well; the beach is empty then and it’s warm inside.
- Keep travel time short. Zandvoort is a short train ride from Amsterdam.
- Let someone else organise it if you want to take part yourself. Whoever organises the day rarely gets to join in properly. You can hand over the programme; mention it in your enquiry.
Practical information
You can park at Parkeerterrein De Zuid, less than three minutes’ walk from NIUS at beach access 5.

Also frequently asked
How big can the group be for a team day?
The meeting part can take up to 60 people in one room. Drinks or dinner afterwards are possible too: a party night in NIUS Zuid for up to 130 guests, outside for up to 700.
What activities can you do?
NIUS works with JouwTeambuilders.nl and Pepsports, who run activities on the beach. Which one suits you best depends on your group and the season.
Can a team day go ahead in bad weather?
Yes. The indoor programme simply carries on, and many beach activities can go ahead in the wind too. Agree on the alternative in advance.
