What makes an outing by the sea different
On the beach, it doesn’t take much to get people out of office mode. Wind, space and a horizon do half the work. The rest is a good programme and somewhere to sit warm and dry afterwards.
Building the day
An outing that works usually has three parts:
- Arrive. Coffee with a sea view, and a short meeting in the meeting room if you like.
- Head outside. An activity on the beach. For this, NIUS works with JouwTeambuilders.nl and Pepsports.
- Eat together. Drinks on the terrace or by the fire, then sit down to dinner.
How many people
Seated, you can have up to 60 guests in NIUS Zuid, and a smaller group of up to 18 guests in the lounge & mezzanine. A party night in NIUS Zuid can take up to 130 guests; outside, a party can take up to 700 guests.
Getting here
Zandvoort is a short train ride from Amsterdam. If you’re coming by car, park at Parkeerterrein De Zuid on Ingenieur G. Friedhoffplein; from there it’s less than three minutes’ walk to beach access 5.

Yes. NIUS is open all year round. A bracing walk outside followed by warming up by the fire indoors works especially well in the colder months.
